Developed from the HARALD model and following intensive use in conflict zones such as Ukraine and in various direct action scenarios, several improvements and modifications have been implemented, maintaining the philosophy of the original design to adapt to the current needs of an operator in direct action, allowing the maximum level of mobility, configuration, and versatility without sacrificing essential ballistic protection.
Mesh MultiCam®

This is a mesh fabric that offers special properties in a wide range of operational scenarios, the most significant being the ability to instantly drain water during maritime operations. However, the main function of this material (developed for Crye Precision®) is to reduce the weight of the plate carrier and achieve greater heat dissipation in hot environments.
Quick Release Buckle

One of the shoulder straps features a quick release buckle, a compact system designed to quickly release one side of the plate carrier by means of pressure or pull.

Made of high-strength polymer, it is ideal for aquatic operations. It generates no noise, adds no weight, and remains functional even when wearing gloves (the trigger has a heat-sealed paracord cord at its end). It has a high degree of impact resistance and acts as a quick-release element at key points, whether in emergency situations or to facilitate donning and doffing.

High-performance stretch fabric

Allows maximum adjustment to plates of different brands, with the plate carrier adapting to the plate, not the other way around. It reduces the profile to a minimum and prevents internal movement of the plate itself. Suitable for SAPI and ESAPI ballistic plates with a maximum size of 31 cm x 3.8 cm x 26 cm.

ITW Nexus® GTSR Split-Bar Body Clips with Ghillitex™ technology

Designed for quick attachment to 1-25 mm MOLLE/PALS systems. It allows for high loads due to its Acetal construction. The Split-Bar system allows the GTSR clip to be quickly attached and removed without cutting or sewing, increasing modularity and customizing the fit at different points of a MOLLE system.

1000D Nylon Fabric:

This is used in load-carrying areas or where other equipment carrier elements are normally attached, giving the system greater strength. The Harald plate carrier uses a hybrid approach, using Velcro straps and laser-cut technology, allowing it to work with traditional MOLLE attachment systems, Velcro, or both at the same time.

YKK® Zippers

The back of the KING HARALD plate carrier features YKK® zippers designed for the integration of modular panels. This system allows the operator to attach preconfigured panels, such as ULF panels, quickly adapting the equipment configuration to the needs of the mission. KING HARALD's design is intended to ensure that the plate carrier follows the operator's movements, following the basic principles of sports biomechanics, in which the equipment must adapt (as much as possible) and follow the movements of the human body as naturally as possible.

Minimizing the plate carrier, while still offering the operator protection of vital organs, allows for a greater range of lateral and abdominal mobility as it better adapts to the anatomy of the upper torso.

Communications elastics, designed to hold the PTT and reduce the bulk of the push buttons by eliminating the need for additional systems such as clips. Other applications include securing hydration tubes, antennas, and communication cables.

Laser-cut MOLLE webbing replaces traditional straps with precisely cut spaces, reducing the bulk of the system for attaching gear pockets and thus increasing the garment's efficiency.
